Traditional denitrification routes for recovery boilers may face low efficiency, equipment corrosion and high investment and operating costs.
To address these challenges, TONEXUS Technology worked closely with Asia Symbol on the RB1-1500tds/d recovery boiler project. Through pilot testing, third-party verification and continuous optimization, TONEXUS developed a multi-chamber low-temperature SCR solution tailored to recovery boiler flue gas conditions.
After commissioning, NOx emissions were stably controlled within 80 mg/Nm³, with reliable system performance and no additional by-products.
The project also involved the development of dedicated low-temperature SCR catalysts, catalyst protection devices and compressed-air soot-blowing pretreatment technology, setting a benchmark for high-standard recovery boiler denitrification in the pulp and paper industry.
