Benchmark Project | Integrated Denitrification and Plume Elimination for Asia Symbol RB11R Recovery Boiler

For large-scale recovery boilers in the pulp and paper industry, deep NOx reduction and visible plume control are two major challenges.

TONEXUS Technology provided Asia Symbol RB11R-3500tds/d recovery boiler with an integrated solution combining low-temperature SCR denitrification and plume elimination.

The system achieved stable NOx control at ≤60 mg/Nm³. By adopting a “condensation first, reheating later” process, the solution effectively reduced flue gas humidity and eliminated visible plume, while avoiding the high corrosion and high operating costs often associated with wet denitrification.

With stable operation and no additional by-products, this project provides a practical reference for large paper enterprises pursuing both ultra-low emissions and visual-friendly environmental performance.
