Pulp and paper flue gas treatment often faces challenges such as high alkalinity, high dust content, low operating temperature, corrosion risks and visible plume issues.
For the Asia Symbol RB2-7500tds/d recovery boiler, TONEXUS Technology delivered a large-scale low-temperature SCR denitrification solution. The project adopted customized catalysts with strong resistance to alkali metal poisoning and hydrophobic properties, together with complex high-altitude system integration under limited site conditions.
After commissioning, NOx emissions were stably controlled within 40 mg/Nm³, with significantly reduced operating costs and no additional by-products.
This project has become a benchmark for low-temperature SCR application in recovery boiler flue gas treatment, supporting cleaner and more efficient emissions control in the pulp and paper industry.
