From July 8th to 9th, the 2025 China Paper Industry Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Forum, hosted by the China Paper Association and co-organized by TONEXUS Technology, was successfully held in Rizhao, Shandong. Zhao Wei, Chairman of the China Paper Association, Vice Chairman Qian Yi, Zheng Yong, General Manager of TONEXUS Technology, Zhu Ning, Vice Chairman of the Board, Wu Wei, Deputy General Manager, and others attended. Nearly 200 representatives from pulp and paper enterprises, technical service providers, industry associations, research institutes, and other fields gathered to jointly explore new pathways for the green and low-carbon development of the industry.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, Mr. Zheng Yong, General Manager of the company, stated in his speech that TONEXUS Technology adheres to the principle of using technological innovation to protect the blue sky and clear waters, assisting more than 20 industries including papermaking, steel, and coking in achieving ultra-low emissions and efficient energy utilization. By the end of 2024, the company had helped customers reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by approximately 1.85 million tons, nitrogen oxides by about 6.7 million tons, dust by about 1.95 million tons, and carbon dioxide by about 14.2 million tons, creating over 700 industry benchmark cases. In the future, it will continue to increase R&D investment to provide the papermaking industry with more efficient, economical, and reliable integrated solutions.
During the forum, Deputy General Manager Wu Wei delivered a keynote report titled "Denitration and Carbon Reduction Technology and Applications for Papermaking Alkali Recovery Furnace Flue Gas – Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Empower Customers' Green Development, Pollutant Reduction and Carbon Cutting Empower Industry's Low-Carbon Transition," which garnered widespread attention. The report provided an in-depth analysis of industry pain points and focused on introducing the company's independently developed "Low-Temperature SCR Denitration Technology and Equipment for Alkali Recovery Furnace Flue Gas." This technology boasts high denitration efficiency, stable operation, process safety, low operational energy consumption, and low maintenance costs. It has been well-received by numerous papermaking enterprises and has been successively implemented and successfully applied in several renowned companies such as Asia Symbol (Shandong), Guizhou Taicheng, Yongfeng Paper, Chongqing Lee & Man, and Wuzhou Special Paper, helping users achieve ultra-low emissions and reduce comprehensive operational costs. The report also introduced the company's carbon capture technology. Its self-developed TX-1 absorber can be applied to carbon capture in the pulp production process, assisting pulp and paper enterprises in achieving low-carbon emissions reduction.
On July 9th, the attending representatives visited and inspected Asia Symbol (Shandong) Pulp and Paper Co., Ltd., as well as the Asia Symbol 3500 TDS/D and 7500 TDS/D Alkali Recovery Furnace Low-Temperature SCR Denitration projects constructed by TONEXUS Technology.
During the conference, TONEXUS Technology engaged in extensive and in-depth exchanges with multiple papermaking enterprises regarding denitration technology for papermaking alkali furnace flue gas and related cooperation matters. TONEXUS Technology will take this forum as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with industry partners, jointly explore new pathways for the coordinated improvement of pollutant reduction and carbon reduction, and contribute more to the construction of ecological civilization.
