On March 20, the 2026 (10th) Qidian Sodium-Ion Battery Forum, the Global Sodium-Ion Technology Application Luban Awards Ceremony, and the Global Sodium-Ion Start-Stop Summit were held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. TONEXUS appeared at the Global Sodium-Ion Start-Stop Summit and delivered a special presentation on “New Breakthroughs in Sodium-Ion Batteries: Progress in NFPP Cathode Materials and Sodium Supplementation Technology,” showcasing the company’s R&D progress and industrial deployment in the field of key materials for sodium-ion batteries.
As one of the key exchange platforms in the sodium-ion battery industry, this year’s forum focused on technological innovation and practical applications of sodium-ion batteries in start-stop power supplies, energy storage, electric vehicles, and other fields, bringing together upstream and downstream enterprises across the industry chain to discuss development trends.
During the forum, TONEXUS highlighted its NFPP cathode materials, sodium supplementation agents, and related product portfolio, demonstrating the company’s latest achievements in continuously advancing technological innovation in the field of new energy materials.
In recent years, TONEXUS has continued to advance its new energy materials business, carrying out R&D and industrial deployment around NFPP cathode materials and sodium supplementation technology, and has developed a product portfolio including general-purpose NFPP, high-compaction NFPP, NaCrO₂ sodium supplementation agents, and high-initial-efficiency S-NFPP. Among them, the general-purpose NFPP offers high specific capacity, low cost, and good processability, with a specific capacity of up to 110 mAh/g, a 5C capacity retention rate of 90%, and an electrode compaction density of 2.1.
In terms of product performance, the company’s related materials have demonstrated outstanding rate performance, cycling performance, low-temperature performance, and safety. In terms of sodium supplementation technology, the high-initial-efficiency S-NFPP adopts an exclusive coating process for sodium supplementation agents, which can effectively improve the first-cycle charging capacity of the material. Laboratory pouch-cell evaluations show that, in full cells assembled with S-NFPP, the first-cycle efficiency increased from 85.5% to 97.5%, further demonstrating the company’s technical accumulation and innovation capability in the field of key sodium battery materials.
Thanks to its continued innovation and product breakthroughs in the field of sodium-ion battery materials, TONEXUS’s holding subsidiary Tongxing Haosheng won two honors at the 2026 Global Sodium-Ion Technology Luban Awards held alongside the forum: “Global Innovative Product and Technology for Start-Stop Sodium-Ion Battery Materials” and “Global Innovative Product and Technology for Energy Storage Sodium-Ion Battery Materials.” These awards reflect the industry’s high recognition of TONEXUS’s technical strength, product innovation capability, and market application value in the field of key sodium battery materials.
At present, sodium-ion batteries are accelerating their expansion into diversified application scenarios such as start-stop power supplies and energy storage, which places higher demands on the performance, stability, and industrialization capability of key materials. Taking this forum appearance and these awards as an opportunity, TONEXUS will continue to focus on innovation in key sodium-ion battery materials and core technologies, accelerate the transformation of technological achievements and industrial implementation, and continuously empower the high-quality development of the sodium battery industry.
