Recently, the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry announced the winners of the 2025 Environmental Technology Advancement Award. TONEXUS, together with its subsidiary Fangxin Lihua, was awarded the Second Prize for the project “Low-Temperature SCR Denitrification Technology and Equipment for Alkali Recovery Furnace Flue Gas.”
The “Low-Temperature SCR Denitrification Technology and Equipment for Alkali Recovery Furnace Flue Gas” was independently developed by TONEXUS. Following expert evaluation organized by the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, the technology was recognized as reaching an internationally leading level, filling a domestic gap, and was included in the 2024 National Pollution Prevention and Control Technology Guidance Catalogue.
This technology successfully addresses key challenges in the papermaking industry, including low flue gas temperature, high humidity, and high alkali metal content from alkali recovery furnaces. It features high denitrification efficiency, stable operation, safe process design, low energy consumption, and low maintenance costs. The solution has been widely welcomed by papermaking enterprises and has been successfully implemented and applied at several well-known companies, including Asia Symbol, Guizhou Taisheng, Yongfeng Paper, Chongqing Lee & Man, and Wuzhou Special Paper, helping customers achieve ultra-low emissions and reduce overall operating costs.
Looking ahead, TONEXUS will continue to increase R&D investment, deepen technological exploration and application practices in alkali recovery and other complex flue gas treatment scenarios, and provide the industry with more efficient, cost-effective, and reliable ultra-low emission solutions.
