TONEXUS Secures 488 Green Electricity Certificates | Empowering Low-Carbon Development with Green Power

    In 2025, TONEXUS successfully obtained 488 National Green Electricity Certificates (GECs), including 271 tradable certificates. This achievement not only reflects the tangible results of the company’s renewable energy initiatives, but also demonstrates its firm commitment to implementing the “Dual Carbon” strategy and advancing sustainable development.


    As an environmental technology enterprise deeply engaged in industrial pollution reduction and carbon mitigation, TONEXUS has long provided systematic green solutions to more than 20 industries, including steel, coking, power generation, and papermaking. While supporting clients in achieving low-carbon transformation, the company also attaches great importance to building its own green production system, continuously promoting clean energy substitution and energy-saving measures.


    From 2023 to 2024, the company invested over RMB 10 million to construct distributed rooftop photovoltaic projects at both the Fangxin and TONEXUS production plants, comprehensively enhancing its green energy utilization level.


    The rooftop distributed photovoltaic project at the TONEXUS production plant in Hanshan County, Anhui Province, covers an area of 12,000 square meters, with an installed capacity of 1,200 kW and a total investment of approximately RMB 4 million. The project was officially connected to the grid in August 2024. In 2025, it generated a total of 1,374,228 kWh of green electricity, including 489,964 kWh from August to December. At the beginning of 2025, the company completed registration on the National Renewable Energy Information Management Platform and successfully applied for and received 488 GECs for the year.


    The Green Electricity Certificate (GEC) is the only official electronic credential issued by the state to certify the environmental attributes of renewable electricity. Each 1,000 kWh of green electricity corresponds to one GEC. The certificates are unique, authoritative, and valid nationwide, and can be used for tracing, certification, and accounting of green electricity consumption. According to estimates, each GEC represents a reduction of approximately 0.8 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The successful issuance of these GECs serves as authoritative recognition of the company’s green power generation achievements and lays the foundation for green asset management and market-based trading.


    Green development is reflected not only in project construction but also in the company’s daily operations. At present, TONEXUS has established a low-carbon points mechanism to promote green office practices and energy-saving initiatives, advancing sustainable development through systematic and normalized green actions.


    Looking ahead, TONEXUS will continue to uphold its ESG development philosophy. While deepening its expertise in core industrial pollution control and carbon reduction technologies, the company will further strengthen its own green and low-carbon initiatives, driving high-quality development with higher standards and stronger actions, and injecting greater green momentum into the industry’s transition toward sustainability.
